Baruch Ranks in Top 10% in Annual ROI to Students
Baruch College has recently been recognized for its delivery on the return on investment to its graduates.
According to PayScale’s annual “College Education ROI Rankings” report, Baruch College ranks in the top 10%-at No. 108-of the 1,060 public and private U.S. colleges and universities evaluated in the report. On PayScale’s list of “Annual ROI,” Baruch College delivers the highest annual ROI for in-state students (10.6%) and out-of-state students (9.8%) of all public colleges and universities.
Former U.S. Secretary of Education William Bennett evaluated 3,500 U.S. colleges and universities for their ROI when he co-authored his latest book, Is College Worth It? Citing PayScale’s survey of jobholders who earned only bachelor’s degrees, Bennett says many schools offer poor returns for students’ payments.
According to PayScale’s analysis of one-year ROI, Baruch College comes out at No. 1 on the list of U.S. colleges and universities.
"Schools with the best annualized ROI tend to be State Schools with low 4-year costs. CUNY-Bernard M. Baruch College, SUNY-Maritime, Georgia Institute of Technology and Colorado School of Mines make up the top of the annualized ROI leaders,” said Katie Bardaro, Lead Economist, PayScale.
Results of PayScale’s annual College ROI report are based on an analysis of its 40 million career profiles and a methodology assessing the return on tuition investment at 1,060 U.S. colleges and universities. This is an increase from the 853 colleges and universities that were analyzed by PayScale in 2012.
