Introducing a special program for our International Students!
In the Spring of 2006 Baruch's School of Continuing and Professional Studies, in conjunction with the Zicklin School of Business began offering an exciting new menu of customized English language support courses, specially designed to meet the needs of graduate business students. These new mini-courses include an integration of business content, technology and relevant business language skills. Class schedules are flexible, allowing you to take courses that complement your business classes and work schedule.
Our goal is to ensure that all students entering the Zicklin School have the English language proficiency necessary to succeed in their graduate courses and professional careers. All entering students who are required to take the ABE program, and most other entering students whose first language is not English are required to take these courses. The modules being offered are
- Writing for Business
- Oral Communication for Business
- Grammar Troubleshooting
- American English Pronunciation
Prior to the start of the semester you will have the opportunity to waive one or more of these modules by taking the English language support course waiver exam. Information about the waiver test dates and registration for these tests can be found at the links below:
