Stella Alvo
Ms. Alvo is CEO of Westfield Consulting LLC, an independent technology transfer firm. For fifteen years, she has worked in developing technology products for multi-channel sales avenues. Focusing on delivery of vanguard voice, data, broadband and video software applications over various delivery platforms including wireless and WiFi.
Ms. Alvo created for her client Equitable Life Insurance a “Cyber Auditorium”™ for 7,500 remote sales agents. Using for the first time streaming audio and video applications to get important financial news out instantaneously. While consulting at GTE, she successfully launched commercial Internet over cable and cable modems into GTE markets. When she was at Southern New England Telephone she consulted on SNET's Multi-Media “Personal Vision Service”® creating local digital content and on SNET’s ISP launch.
Ms. Alvo served as a Director at the “New York Society of Security Analysts”; elected as its first outside director she was nominated for her expertise in interactive products. She is also credited with founding NYSSA’s SEMI Program and a well established scholarship foundation, and co-founding NYSSA’s Investment Research Challenge, an annual event with the heads of financial Services companies acting as panel of judges to evaluate student’s research reports.
Ms. Alvo has a BA in Economics and Advanced Mathematics from Brooklyn College and an MBA in Finance from Pace University.
