M. Barry Dumas
Dr. Dumas is a professor and deputy chair in the Department of Statistics and Computer Information Systems at Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business. He also is a member of the doctoral faculty of City University. Professor Dumas received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1972. He has been associated with Baruch since 1974.
In addition to departmental courses and doctoral seminars, Professor Dumas has chaired doctoral theses and has taught in the Feit honors program, and the Executive Education Programs at Baruch and Taiwan. From 1990 to 1996, he was Associate Provost and Director of Academic Computing and Educational Technology. In this capacity, he was instrumental in combining the College's two computing centers into the unified BCTC, bringing networks to the campus, and installing many computer labs.
Professor Dumas is the director of the Baruch College Entrepreneurship Competition, which he helped organize at its inception. He continues in that role, also serving as a competition judge.
