Claire Haaga Altman
Ms. Haaga Altman has spearheaded a number of social entrepreneurial efforts over her 35 year career in the non-profit sector. She began her career at the Vera Institute of Justice, where she launched a transportation system for elderly and disabled persons (now the City’s Access-A-Ride service), a construction company employing recently released ex-offenders (now Center for Employment Opportunities), and an affordable housing development corporation that has developed over $300 million in low and moderate income housing in New York City and South Florida (Housing and Services, Inc.).
Currently, Ms. Haaga Altman serves as Executive Director of ReServe Elder Services – a new non-profit launched in 2005 to match experienced retirees with stipended volunteer opportunities in non profit and public agencies. She holds a JD from Fordham University, MPA from NYU, and BA from St. Louis University.
