Emily Campbell
Ms. Campbell began her legal career in New York in 1992, working principally with major international law firms for almost a decade. In March 2002, she founded The Campbell Firm PLLC and is the Firm's Managing Member.
Ms. Campbell has a general law practice, with an emphasis on transactional and litigation matters, serving clients across a variety of industries, including, among others, Fashion, Entertainment, Technology, Telecommunications, Venture Capital, Financial Services, Real Estate, Travel, Consulting, and Health Care. She brings her personal entrepreneurial experience to her practice to facilitate practical solutions to legal challenges. Her entrepreneurial experience extends beyond founding her own law firm and includes real estate investment in residential and mixed-use properties in New York City, Upstate New York, Baltimore, Maryland, and elsewhere; the full-service real estate brokerage, Adventure Realty International, LLC, which is located in Park Slope and handles residential and commercial sales and rentals principally in Brooklyn; and the on-line singles business, FishInTheSea.com, which is owned and operated by another of her companies, New Amsterdam Ventures, LLC.
Ms. Campbell serves as Chair of the Committee on National Security and Counter-Terrorism for the Federal Bar Association and as Vice-Chair of the prestigious Public Affairs Luncheon Series for the New York City Bar Association. She is an Adjunct Professor at New York Law School, where she teaches Drafting Contracts, and she is active with Columbia University’s Lang Center for Entrepreneurship, where she periodically lectures on legal issues for entrepreneurs, judges business plans and is a Sounding Board advisor to MBA students and alumni. She has authored ten law review articles and two book chapters, including articles on copyright and first amendment law.
Ms. Campbell received her B.A. from Mercer University and her J.D., M.A., and Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska.
