On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) at the GCMC is a convenient and cost-effective method for your company to recruit Baruch’s MBA and MS level candidates for internship and full-time hire opportunities. The GCMC offers OCR to employers during both the fall and spring semesters.

Through OCR, the GCMC will assist your company in using our online career portal Zicklin CareerLink to post your OCR positions, schedule resume submissions and selections, and coordinate interviews.

The GCMC will also help you hold interviews over one or more days, utilizing the GCMC’s interview rooms for your recruiting team. You also have the option of scheduling interviews at your location.

Details on Baruch College’s OCR Procedures and Offer Deadline Policy can be found below, however if you have questions on recruiting Baruch through OCR, please contact Ellen King at (646) 312-1342 or by email at ellen.king@baruch.cuny.edu

OCR Offer Deadline Policy

For OCR positions, Baruch College is committed to working in the best interest of both our students and our employer partners. We encourage employers to be understanding and willing to give students ample time to carefully consider all of their employment options and to make informed decisions during the recruiting season. In an effort to establish a fair, competitive and ethical recruiting environment for both students and employers, we ask employers to follow the following offer and date guidelines:

Summer Internship Conversion

If you extend a full-time job or a returning summer internship offer to a student prior to the start of the Fall 2014 semester (August 28th), we request that you give that student until October 14th to give you their decision.

Fall Semester

Full-time: If you extend a full-time job offer to a student during fall recruiting (after the start of the Fall 2014 semester – August 28th), give students until November 14th to give you their decision or 3 weeks whichever is greater.

Internship: If you extend an internship offer to a student during fall recruiting (after the start of the Fall 2014 semester – August 28th), give students until November 21st to give you their decision or 4 weeks, whichever is greater. Note: the 4 weeks applies to all internship offers made prior to the start of the Spring semester, including those made during the winter intersession.

Spring Semester

Full-time: If you extend a full-time job offer to a student during spring recruiting (after the start of the Spring 2015 semester – January 28th), give students until March 13th to give you their decision or 3 weeks, whichever is greater.

Internship: If you extend an internship offer to a student during spring recruiting (after the start of the Spring 2015 semester – January 28th), give students until March 13th to give you their decision or 4 weeks, whichever is greater.

In some cases, students may ask for extensions beyond these recommended deadlines, and we hope you will be able to accommodate their requests.

We appreciate the cooperation, flexibility and adherence of all OCR employers to these campus guidelines. If you have questions, please contact Ellen King at (646) 312-1342 or by email at ellen.king@baruch.cuny.edu
