About the Program

The Sustainable Business Club in collaboration with the Zicklin Center for Corporate Integrity, the Zicklin Finance and Investment Club and the Zicklin Women In Business Club is proud to present "The World of Green Finance" with Michelle Riley of Good Energies.

The area of sustainable investing is not only growing, but thriving. Companies' ESG positions are now being factored into valuations as a key determinant for financial viability and success (Goldman Sachs Environmental Report, 2008). Ms. Riley's presentation will be aimed at explaining these opportunities from the perspective of a top venture capital firm renowned for specializing in this space.

Michelle Riley

Prior to joining COFRA, Michelle Riley was Vice President and Co-General Counsel of ICON Capital Corp., a global asset manager and specialty finance company based in New York. Prior to joining ICON, Michelle worked in private practice in the New York and London offices of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, where she specialized in cross-border mergers & acquisitions and transactional private equity.

Before joining Paul, Weiss, Michelle worked in private practice in the London office of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where she specialized in cross-border mergers & acquisitions, private equity fund formation and project finance. Michelle received her law degree from Yale Law School, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Journal on Regulation. She also holds academic degrees from The George Washington, D. C. University and Oxford University and is admitted to the New York bar.

Michelle Riley is also responsible for legal matters of COFRA NY and Bregal.

The presentation begins with lunch at 12:30 p.m.
