Direct Marketing Resource Center Helps Students Win National Awards
In 2004 the Newman Library partnered with the Zicklin School of Business to open a Direct and Interactive Marketing Resource Center in the Library. The Center provides students with facilities and information resources that one might only find at major direct marketing advertising agencies.
In addition, instruction from library faculty
helps Marketing students acquire discipline-specific information
literacy skills that will benefit them throughout their careers. The
Center serves as the laboratory in which students develop campaigns
that they enter into the annual ECHO competition sponsored by the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation. In 2005 Baruch College continued its record of success with its best performance to date, winning gold, silver and bronze awards.
