Financial Women's Association (FWA)

Financial Women’s Association Baruch College Mentoring Program

The Financial Women’s Association of New York (FWA), is a not-for-profit professional organization. Established in 1956, it has a membership of more than 1,000 female and male professionals working in the financial services industry or who hold a financial position in another industry. To fulfill that part of its mission, which is “to encourage women to seek career opportunities in finance and business,” the FWA has a long tradition of dedication and excellence in mentoring students of different ages.

Programs include:

  • Two year College Mentoring Program at Baruch College;
  • The Wall Street Exchange Program - a summer internship exposing college juniors to career and networking activities;
  • A high school mentoring program, which reaches close to 50 students a year and has been rated by Harvard University as a model program;
  • A series of “Financial BackPack” workshops to teach high school students financial literacy.

For further information on the FWA, check out our website at www.fwa.org

Baruch College Mentoring Program

Six years ago the FWA took a significant step by expanding its successful high school mentoring programs to a higher level.  Baruch College, with its exceptional students, was singled out as the ideal venue for a 2 year mentoring program aimed specifically at college women.

The Program will offer:

  • Group activities onsite at Baruch, at mentors’ offices, and at cultural events throughout NYC
