Bangalore


Bangalore is the fifth largest city in India, and considered the most pleasant in terms of weather and climate. The “Silicon Valley of India” is home to hundreds of software companies as well as the out-sourced telephone customer services offices of many U.S. corporations. Alongside its prominence in the information technology field, Bangalore is also home to a thriving cultural scene. The program in Bangalore is hosted by the International Center for Management and India Studies (ICMIS), and is designed for students who want a real “India experience.” It is co-sponsored by Rockland Community College in New York and Truman State University in Missouri, members of the College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS). Founded in 1961 as the first national graduate school for management, the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta has acquired a global reputation for excellence, and is consistently ranked among the finest MBA programs in Asia. The IIMC offers Zicklin MBA students the opportunity to spend a term studying at an exceptional business school located in one of the most important cities of one of the most dynamic countries in the world today. All courses at the IIMC are conducted in English. Zicklin students participating in the Baruch-IIMC Exchange Program may study in any one of three terms: Term IV (early June through late August), Term V (early September through mid-December) or Term IV (mid-December through early March).
