Study Abroad Applicants
Who may study abroad? Any student in good academic standing is potentially eligible to study abroad. However, some restrictions on a student's eligibility do apply. Here are a few to consider. Learn more about any additional regulations governing study abroad at Baruch, and receive information about the opportunities available to you, from the Study Abroad Office.
- While exceptions are sometimes granted, most exchange university partners and study abroad program sponsors will not accept applicants for undergraduate study abroad programs with a GPA below 2.75, or below 3.0 for graduate programs. Some study abroad programs require students to have an even higher GPA.
- All students wishing to study abroad through Baruch College must submit an Application to Study Abroad to the Study Abroad Office, in addition to any applications they submit to the host university or other study abroad program. Each Application to Study Abroad must be approved by the Baruch College Study Abroad Director. The host institution or study abroad program sponsor will make the final decision on whether to approve a student's application to the program itself.
- Students attending other CUNY colleges, and those enrolled in non-CUNY colleges and universities, may apply to study on Baruch College exchanges, and to the Spanish Language and Civilization Program in Salamanca, but must show that they are enrolled full-time at their home college or university the semester prior to their anticipated study abroad.
