About the Program
Today’s corporation is not an island of self-control. It is a spoke in a wide range of supply chains, business partners, and other stakeholders. As headlines have demonstrated, this interconnectivity provides the sustainable corporation with real challenges. When a crisis hits, the corporate response must balance reputation and financial viability with social responsibility and, when required, the reparation of harm.
This symposium will examine crisis management in the extractives, manufacturing, and financial services industries by grappling with the following questions:
- What is the meaning of sustainability in the context of each industry sector?
- How does that impact supply chain partnerships?
- What is a “quality” partnership?
- What are the leading “crisis management” practices, considering sustainability and partnerships?
- How can investors vote with their money? And does that make a difference?
