Ensuring Integrity: First Annual Auditing Conference

This conference brought business and accounting executives together with policy setters from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Public Companies Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), for an all day forum. The keynote luncheon speaker, Jean Wyer of Pricewaterhouse Coopers, addressed the shortage of academics in auditing. One afternoon session, moderated by Grant Thorton LLP covered voluntary implementation of SOX 404 and the second, moderated by Richard Eisner LLP, explored privacy and control issues in Auditing Information Technology.
