Baruch's CPA Qualifying Programs
Baruch's Zicklin School of Business provides several degree program options which are registered with the NY State Education Department as satisfying the academic qualifications to sit for the CPA exam as listed below. However, please note:
1. Non-degree, non-matriculant or special student status is not available for accounting and taxation courses.
Baruch is unable to accommodate students needing just a few courses to meet CPA requirements. Extensive demand for our CPA programs necessitates our limiting access to these courses to students enrolled in our degree programs. We urge students seeking a limited number of undergraduate or graduate accounting courses to contact other area schools with accounting programs to determine whether they are able to make these courses available.
2. It is not now possible to complete a registered CPA program at Baruch with undergraduate coursework alone.
Programs to meet the new 150 credit, August 1, 2009 NY State CPA requirement – listed below - involve completing both an undergraduate and graduate program or a graduate program alone. Baruch’s undergraduate-only CPA program graduates its last class in June ’09 and expires with New York’s implementation of the 150 credit requirement.
