BBA Accounting Major Requirements

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
TAX 3300 can be taken along with 3000 or 4000 level accounting courses. The two course limitation on accounting courses does not include TAX 3300. Students may take two 3000 level accounting courses and TAX 3300 and they may take two 4000 level accounting courses and TAX 3300. Students MAY NOT combine 3000 and 4000 level accounting courses in the same semester.

To be an official accounting major, students MUST have a GPA of 2.5 or above in the following 3000 level accounting courses: ACC 3202, 3000, 3100, and 3200. Exceptions are never made to these policies.

The 5 Year Bachelor’s/Master’s CPA Programs

  • These combine the BBA in accounting with the MS in accounting or taxation (MS admission requirements must be met during the senior year),
    • Excellent preparation for the CPA exam and careers in public accounting,
