Ethics
Each year, MBA students at the Zicklin School of Business are led through a series of activities intended to increase their awareness of the day-to-day ethical dilemmas in today’s workplace. Entitled the Ethics Immersion Experience, this day offers students time to consider, reflect, discuss and participate in exercises that offer different slants on the practice of business ethics. In a variety of settings (small groups, one-on-one dilemmas, and large groups), students are challenged to examine the ethical implications of various issues and then explore, through action and discussion, solutions to the dilemmas.
Prof. Donald Schepers, Associate Professor of Management and specialist in ethical decision-making as well as business, government, and society relations, coordinates the day. He is assisted by a number of other professors from the Management Department including Harry Rosen, Donald Vredenburgh, and Michael Stauffer. Prof. Seth Lipner (Law Department) contributes his insights on the ethics of negotiations.
