MSILR Brochure

The Executive Master of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations (EMSILR) program is not enrolling new students for future terms. Beginning fall 2018, a new Executive Master of Science in Human Resource Management program will enroll its first cohort of professionals interested in deepening their knowledge of the human resource function and employee/employer relations. Details will be announced shortly.

The Executive Master of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations (EMSILR) program is offered by the Zicklin School of Business, a highly-ranked AACSB accredited business school. The Executive MSILR program is designed for in-place professionals working in the fields of human resource management or industrial and labor relations. As participants in an executive program, students benefit from the significant work experience of their peers as well as the faculty's expertise and applied perspective, typically informed by extensive practical experience.

An important feature of the Executive EMSILR program is the cohort experience: courses are taken in sequence with the same group of students over two years. As a result, strong bonds often form among the students, and life long friendships develop. Students often help each other with work-related issues, or may help a fellow student or alum find a new career opportunity. Classes provide the opportunity to acquire cutting-edge knowledge in the fields of HR and IR/LR, and students solve problems together that often lead to real time solutions in their own workplaces.

The Executive Program experience emphasizes student support so that students can focus on their studies. We take care of the book orders and distribution, course registration, and evening meals, all of which are included in the program fee. Also included in the program fee are the costs associated with the international trip. Classes meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings at Baruch's state-of-the-art classroom building at 24th and Lexington, in the Gramercy Park section of New York City.
