Faculty & Research

As Baruch’s reputation has grown in recent years, we have been increasingly successful in attracting top-rank faculty who excel both in teaching and in research.  Our faculty members are drawn from many countries and have received their academic training at some of the best universities in the world.  Our department was recently recognized as among the top 12% of marketing departments in the world, based on publications in the top marketing journals.  Several faculty members have received awards and honors for their research and expertise.  Some additional features that are noteworthy:

 

  • The department runs a state-of-the-art Behavioral Research Lab designed as a resource for teaching and experimental research.  It is utilized extensively by our faculty and PhD students for research purposes, and numerous papers that have resulted from this research have been published in leading scholarly journals.
  • The department houses the Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing and its Editor-in-Chief, Prof. J. David Lichtenthal, teaches our Business-to-Business Marketing course.
  • Our faculty work with the Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship to provide educational programs, networking capabilities and consulting services to small businesses from all over New York City.
  • Our adjunct faculty typically have many years of industry and consulting experience, and supplement the departmental course offerings through specialized courses that allow them to bring their expert knowledge into the classroom for the benefit of our students.
