Undergraduate Students
Please note the following:
- The department cannot give permission to register for a class that is closed. For closed courses you must sign up on the Waiting List or contact the Dean’s Office in room 13-270 NVC.
- Permission to take MKT 3000 and registration problems for that course are handled by the Dean's
Office in room 13-270 NVC.
- If you are not enrolled in Zicklin School of Business and require permission to take a marketing course, please contact Judy Tse in The Dean's Office (except in the case of Ad-Hoc majors, who should see the Department Chair).
The department will consider your request for permission in the following cases:

Waiver of
pre-requisites
Pre-requisites
are usually waived only if (a) you will take the required course as a
co-requisite, and (b) the instructor does not object to the waiver.

Ad-hoc
majors
Permission will be granted for Ad-Hoc Majors on a case-to-case basis. Students
should bring their worksheet signed by their academic adviser. This worksheet
must contain the required courses.

Graduate Students

Course substitutions and waiver of pre-requisitesTo substitute a required course in the Marketing major, or to have a pre-requisite waived for a course, you need to provide evidence that your academic or professional background obviates the need for the required course.
