At various times served on the School, Management Dept. and Graduate School Executive committees, as well as acted as Department Deputy Chair for Administration. Have served on the School and Dept. Research committees, the Library committee, The Faculty Senate, the Dept's Recruiting committee, Curriculum committee.

Have refereed papers for professional meetings, (TIMS, DSI, ACM) and for professional journals, (Decision Sciences, Personnel Administrator) and reviewed numerous textbooks, (Dannenbring & Starr, Nichols)

Have served as Thesis advisor to six doctoral candidates, all of whom received their degrees, and one of whom won the Doctoral Thesis of the Year award from POMS, (S.Rao, 1990)

Have served on innumerable PhD candidacy exams and panels, as well on dissertation committees.

Professional Activities:

Organizing Committee for the New York Joint national Meeting of ORSA/TIMS, October 16-18, 1989

Taught in England for one year, 1993 at the University of Brighton

For many years a Member of MAA, ACM, DSI, TIMS-ORSA, IEEE Computer Society, PMI

Awards, Honors, etc.:

Ullman Prize for Scholarship in Mathematics, 1965, Mt. Union College, the monetary portion of which I lost that evening in a poker game

Lindback Foundation Award for Distinguished Teaching, 1975, Moravian College

Chosen by the Graduating Classes of 1974 and 1975 as Faculty Speaker at Commencement, Moravian College

Distinguished paper in Statistics/Decision Theory Track at the national Meeting of AIDS{which renamed itself DSI the next year for obvious reasons}, November 18-20, 1979, Boston
