Education:
PhD University of Minnesota Industrial/Organizational Psychology 2008
Areas of Expertise:
My work focuses on the measurement of individual differences (personality and cognitive ability) for making personnel staffing decisions. This includes research on how we can use tools such as standardized tests, interviews, and assessment centers to best predict employee job performance, creativity, and avoidance of deviance at work. In addition, I explore group differences (ethnic group and sex differences) on the characteristics used to make personnel decisions, and their effect on workforce diversity. In addition to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, I have extensive experience in executive education, and frequently conduct workshops on Human Resource Management for large multinational corporations.
