Mission Statement
The William Newman Department of Real Estate seeks to recruit talented and motivated students who are interested in understanding the economic and behavioral aspects of real estate markets. Our missions are to create cutting-edge real estate related knowledge and to produce future leaders in the real estate and related fields. To achieve these goals, the Department recruits faculty members with an established record of (or with a great potential to produce) top-notch research and the ability to interact effectively with industry leaders.
Our undergraduate and graduate programs will not only prepare students to enter one of the most exciting and fast growing career fields in the U.S., but will also ensure that students can acquire competent skills to succeed in related industries in the business world. Indeed, given real estate's pervasive impact on public and business sectors, the study of real estate helps students understand the important concepts and issues for making crucial business decisions and creating effective public policies.
