Baruch's one-year Executive Master of Science in Management of Information Systems (EMSMIS) has been designed to give executives around the world the critical strategic advantage needed for career advancement in this dynamic fast-growing field. The program provides a strong foundation in the business and managerial activities related to information systems and technologies.
Professionals in this program will learn about emerging technologies and their role in gaining the competitive advantage in the marketplace. This focus provides managers with a broad understanding of current information technologies and their utilization in formulating and implementing corporate level strategies. These strategies are applicable in the areas of marketing, finance, production operations, project management, and other essential aspects of managerial decision-making.
The curriculum is composed of 12 courses that incorporate state-of-the-art technologies such as object-oriented programming languages, network and telecommunications, the Web, electronic commerce, and multimedia applications. Two of the 12 courses will be integrated as components in all ten of the other courses that students will take.
