Sprawl: The Impact on Metropolitan New York Real Estate

Sprawl: The Impact on Metropolitan New York Real Estate defined the term before assessing it. “Sprawl” characteristics include: low-density development, single use, auto dependence, strip development along secondary roads, loss of local/unique features, high land consumption (may be unrelated to population growth), scattered, leapfrogging development and links to urban decline. This seminar examined the impact of regional metropolitan New York sprawl and growth regulation on the city now and in the future.
