Designing for Security
An expert panel of urban design experts convened to discuss how the increased security measures adopted after September 11, 2001 have altered the look and changed our experience of public space in New York City. There was also a reception in honor of publication of Setha Low’s Behind the Gates by Routledge. Ms. Low is a professor of environmental psychology and anthropology, and director of the Public Space Research Group at the Graduate Center at CUNY.
