Professional Experience

  • NOP World, New York City 2/04 - 8/04
    • Major Shipping Account- Analyzed 160 question survey with over 9,000 survey responses in SPSS. The analysis was then used to create a presentation, which showed the client how they are doing in the shipping industry vs. market, vs. competition, and vs. past quarters in key market segments and in key attribute areas. The presentation was used to implement new marketing programs and policies.
    • Major Credit Card Account- Compiled, analyzed, and presented key marketing messages in Home Equity Line of Credit industry. Report generated key insights into regional and market niche differences. The company used this information to develop future HELCO marketing programs.
    • Major Computer Account- Defined key market players, created surveys, collected data, and analyzed data to create a detailed report defining the significant attributes and market niches in the retail computer industry.
  • Ralston Purina Company, Charlotte, NC, Retail Operations Manager - Team Delhaize 8/99 - 6/02
    • Liaison between Purina's Account team/ Retail team and mid-to upper-management of Delhaize America (Food Lion, Kash N Karry, & Hannaford Brothers stores. FY 00-$75 MM sales base).
    • Utilized store specific store scan data provided by Data Ventures to identify key opportunities. Using data, I worked with and presented to third party to execute and drive team Delhaize's retail initiatives.
    • Responsible for combating a new product line introduction by a major competitor. Initial launch by competitor was 4/00, as of 1/01 competitor was at 25% of initial sku count.
    • Created, tested and ran new retail initiatives at Food Lion for FY 01. Food Lion increased sales 4% in FY 01 vs. FY 00.
  • Ralston Purina Company, Buffalo, NY, Retail Category Manager - Pet Products Division 6/98-8/99
    • Took over Account Executive role Q3 & Q4 FY 99 for Olean wholesale (FY 99- 1.5MM) increased sales 20% versus Q3 & Q4 FY 98.
    • Responsible for promoting Purina products at the wholesale (Olean, Penn Traffic), corporate (Wegmans, Tops Markets), and mass merchandiser (Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target) levels within Central and Western NY.
    • Assisted in the recruiting process at University of Miami - Ohio and University of Rochester.

    • Started company, developed marketing strategy, created accounting techniques, scheduled and estimated work costs.
