Executive MS in Financial Statement Analysis
Our Core Value Propositions
Today’s rapidly evolving financial markets underscore the growing need to better understand finance and accounting. Exploiting advanced knowledge in one field, but not the other, generates inefficient solutions because accounting and finance are so heavily intertwined in the financial profession.
For the first time in the history of Zicklin Business School, we have launched a interdisciplinary Master of Science program by joining forces with two of Zicklin’s elite departments, accounting and finance. This new and truly innovative 10-month accelerated Executive Master’s Program effectively combines advanced subject matter in accounting, finance, economics, quantitative analysis and ethics. The emphasis is on developing deeper understanding on the complexities of financial markets, financial reporting and how to determine intrinsic values of various securities.
The Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) Institute, a global, not-for-profit association of investment professionals that awards the CFA® and CIPM designations, is the perfect example to demonstrate this powerful and key insight. To obtain the much coveted CFA charter, individuals must demonstrate proficiency in accounting, finance, economics, quantitative analysis and ethics. At least 20% to 30% of the subject matter in the CFA curriculum includes advanced concepts from financial accounting. Therefore, if your goal is to become a CFA charter, we can provide you with that knowledge using this distinctive interdisciplinary approach. In 2008, we joined an exclusive group of programs around the world to partner with the CFA Institute.
Our strength lies with an elite faculty with strong academic qualifications and international reputation, many with consulting experience and who also have CFA and CPA designations. Our instructors serve as stakeholders in the program helping our students better understand the subject matter, how the theory applies to the real world problems and, more importantly, providing that much valuable guidance on what constitutes as a successful career path.
We invite you to join our program, invest in yourself, and thereby create a unique human capital that foretells a bright and rewarding future.
