Bootcamp

Bootcamp is a series of Pre-Program skills refresher workshops offered to incoming students in the Executive MBA, Executive MS in Finance and Executive MS in Financial Statement Analysis programs.

The workshops are designed to refresh and update basic concepts and skills in key areas, such as accounting and quantitative tools. For students who have a non-business undergraduate education they are important stepping stones in being ready for your Executive Programs learning experience.

Bootcamp also acts to start the process of reactivating your classroom learning skills.

Part of the evaluation of a candidate during the admissions process is a determination of whether a student needs to participate in Bootcamp. The admissions committee will make a determination if participation is required, recommended or waived from attending.

Bootcamp is held prior to the New Student orientation with workshop sessions being held on Weekday evenings and on Saturday. A typical bootcamp schedule would be as follows:

  • Monday:     (6:00-9:00pm)        Financial Accounting, Part 1
  • Tuesday:    (6:00-9:00pm)        Quantitative Tools & Statistics, Part 1
  • Wednesday (6:00-9:00pm)        Financial Accounting, Part 2
  • Thurday      (6:00-9:00pm)        Quantitative Tools & Statistics, Part 2
  • Friday         (6:00-9:00pm)        Financial Accounting, Part 3
  • Saturday     (9:00am-12:00pm)  Quantitative Tools & Statistics, Part 3
  • Monday       (6:00-9:00pm)        Financial Accounting, Part 4
  • Tuesday      (6:00-9:00pm)        Quantitative Tools & Statistics, Part 4

Since Bootcamp is not required of all incoming students the cost is NOT included the Executive Program fee. The 2009 cost of bootcamp was $400 per workshop or $700 if you enrolled in both.
