Bootcamp
Bootcamp is a series of Pre-Program skills refresher workshops offered to incoming students in the Executive MBA, Executive MS in Finance and Executive MS in Accounting programs.
They are designed to refresh and update basic concepts and skills in key areas, such as accounting and quantitative tools. For students who had a non business undergraduate education they are important stepping stones in being ready for your Executive programs learning experience.
Bootcamp also acts to start the process of reactivating your classroom learning skills.
Part of the evaluation of a candidate during the admissions process is a determination of whether a student is required to attend all or part of Bootcamp, is recommended to attend or waived from attending.
Bootcamp is held in the middle of August with workshop sessions being held on weekday evenings (6:00-9:00pm) and on Saturday (9:00am-12:00pm).
Since Bootcamp is not required of all incoming students the cost is NOT included the total program fee. It is a separate charge to be paid when registering as a participant. The fees for the 2008 Bootcamp have not been set. The cost for 2007 was $400 per module or $700 when registering for both the accounting and quantitative tools modules.
