GPA and GMAT Requirements
Applicants who meet these requirements are guaranteed admission to the MS program:
- An overall undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.2,
- A GMAT score of at least 550.
Please note:
- These standards are reviewed periodically and are subject to change. They are the requirements for students applying to begin the MS program in Fall 2008. Beyond this term, contact the program advisor for information about any different requirements that may then be in effect.
- These special MS admission requirements are for these programs only; it is not possible to transfer to the MBA or any other graduate program before or after enrollment without meeting the admission requirements for that program.
Applicants who do not meet these criteria should still consider applying for the program if they have some work experience and their grades and test scores do not miss the requirements by a great deal. These applications will be reviewed on the basis of the entire range of admission criteria and standards used by the Graduate Admissions Committee in making their regular admission decisions. These include
- the nature and extent of your full-time work experience,
- the required and optional application essays,
- letters of recommendation (applicants who do not meet the standard GPA and GMAT requirements are encouraged to submit these),
- grade trends (for example, better grades more recently) and grades in specific courses (for example, accounting and math),
- components of the GMAT other than the overall score (verbal, quantitative and analytical writing scores),
- extracurricular activities and community service,
- communication and other interpersonal skills.
