This course consists of the study of several short business cases that will provide opportunities to analyze real business situations. The cases will be studied in a teaching/learning atmosphere designed to promote analysis, communication, and teamwork skills. The course will also emphasize critical thinking and decision-making. This course examines the relationship between Information Technology and environmental sustainability. Students will be introduced to different theories and practices pertaining to business, Information Technology, and environmental sustainability. The course examines both “greening of IT” and “greening by IT.” Greening of IT refers to the impact of information systems on the environment, including challenges such as the carbon footprint of information systems and e-waste.
