Career Management Curriculum

Alumni who complete the Career Management Curriculum (CMC) may make a 50-minute appointment to meet with a Career Advisor for individual assistance. In your first appointment, staff will discuss with you your career goals and current concerns, and make recommendations for next steps. Students are encouraged to meet regularly with their Career Advisor for assistance in defining their goals, planning a successful job search campaign, writing effective resumes and other correspondence, interviewing successfully, and negotiating offers and compensation. In order to receive maximum benefit from individual appointments, alumni are expected to be prepared by utilizing the strategies, tools, and exercises provided during the Career Management Curriculum.

In order to register for a series, alumni must sign up through eRecruiting under "Calendar". If you do not yet have access to eRecruiting, please click here.

CMC Workshop Information

The Career Management Curriculum is the first step in launching your career advisement. It takes place in a group setting and is designed to help you master the core competencies required for career management success. The core curriculum consists of a series of four sequential workshops that cover self- and market-assessment; resumes and cover letters; job search strategies and networking; and interviewing. Workshops covering other topics are also offered as electives. The curriculum schedule, workshop descriptions, and registration information are available in the Center, on our website, and on eRecruiting, our web-based career management system.

Advisement appointments are 50 minutes in length and can be scheduled by calling or stopping by the front desk.
