The Internship Course Workshop is designed to support and enhance your internship experience. The Workshop will help you integrate what you learn during your internship experience. Critical reflection upon your internship will make you a more effective intern, and will help you decide if this is the right work for you. Think of it as a chance to make sense of your experience, so that on your next interview when someone asks you "What did you learn from that internship?" you will have a clear and intelligent answer. In addition, you will have the opportunity to learn from and network with your classmates as everyone is expected to share their insights as it relates to the internship experience.

You will receive a pass for this course provided the following 1 & 2 requirements are satisfied:

1. You participate in one two-hour Internship Course Workshop. There are two Workshop dates; you only need to register for one. There is no pre-assignment for this workshop. Your grade is based on your attendance and participation at the workshop. Register on eRecruiting to reserve a space at the workshop date of your choice.

2. You complete 'Student Evaluation of Internship Form' required evaluation. You will be expected to turn in your evaluation form using the Blackboard dropbox (do not e-mail or fax the evaluation) immediately after completing your workshop.

Other Responsibilities

You encourage your employer to fill out and turn in the ‘Employer Evaluation of Intern’. While you may not have control of whether or not he/she completes your evaluation you are responsible for soliciting feedback on your performance. This is an important professional development skill that will benefit you in all future career endeavors.
