Professor Steven V. Melnik, LLM (Tax), J.D., CPA.
Steven Melnik, LLM (Tax), J.D., CPA, an Associate Professor of Tax Law; Academic Director, Graduate and Undergraduate Tax Areas – Baruch College, CUNY. He is chair of Continuing Education for Attorneys, Financial Planners and CPAs – Zicklin Tax Seminars, CUNY. Attorney licensed to practice in NY and NJ
States. Area of Concentration: Estate, Medicaid, and Tax Planning as well as Asset Preservation. He has over 15 years of experience helping individuals with their Strategic Planning Needs. He is a member of the Board of S.A.F.E. – Safekeeping, Administration, Funding and Expertise, Inc. – SAFE is a Nationwide Pooled Trust Non-profit Organization Charged with a Mission of Educating and Assisting People with their Medicaid Planning Needs. www.thesafetrust.org.
Mr. Melnik is a former member of the Advisory group to United States Department of Treasury. He made appearances on many major news networks, such as NBC, CNBC, CBS, BLOOMBERG News. Mr. Melnik regularly publishes in most respected national academic and professional journals; gives educational seminars throughout the country and in conjunctions with various governmental agencies, such as Social Security Administration and the office of Medicaid. He was an Honorary Host of the Annual IRS Symposium in NYC.
Mr. Melnik’s contribution to the education and well being of New York residents has been recognized by President of Manhattan and Brooklyn Boroughs. He is a recipient of “Outstanding Teaching Award”, Baruch College Zicklin School of Business; Member of Graduate Executive Degree in Law, Andersen Worldwide.
Mr.Melnik received his BBA, Magna Cum Laude from Baruch College, JD, Magna Sum Laude from New York Law School and LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law.

Sidney Kess Esq., CPA, JD, LLM nationally renowned tax expert and author/coauthor of hundreds of tax books on financial and estate planning and was recently selected "Most Influential Practitioner" by CPA Magazine Having lectured to more than 700,000 practitioners on tax, financial and estate planning, Mr. Kess is one of the nation's best known lecturers in continuing professional education. Sidney Kess is consulting editor of CCH Incorporated's Financial and Estate Planning Reporter, and consultant for the CCH Estate Planning Guide. He was also the editor of CCH newsletters and author of numerous CCH books and audiocassettes.
Sid Kess is chairman of the advisory board of Tax Hotline and is a member of the PPC Tax Action Panel. Mr. Kess has edited a column on "Tax Tips" for the New York Law Journal for the past 34 years. He has also written several AICPA tax workshops, audio and video programs, and is the recipient of the AICPA Distinguished Lecturer Award. Mr. Kess is often quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and other national publications. He was the national director of taxes at KMG Main Hurdman and a tax partner at KPMG Peat Marwick. During the last 36 years he has chaired or conducted some of the leading estate, financial planning and income tax conferences.
Mr. Kess is the recipient of the AICPA's Special Recognition Award for his many years of contributions to the AICPA's Continuing Professional Education program. Sidney Kess received his JD from Harvard University School of Law and LLM from New York University Graduate School of Law.

The Robert Zicklin Center for Corporate Integrity is a forum for discussion of a broad range of contemporary issues confronting US corporations and capital markets. Our concerns include: transparency of corporate reporting, corporate governance, examining legal and ethical corporate behavior, spotlighting executive accountability, corporate responsibility in global business development, risk assessment and amelioration, resolving conflicting corporate stakeholder interests, and evaluating the role of governmental regulation.
