Led by award-winning financial educator, Casey Halliley, this comprehensive course is designed to take you from a curious observer to a confident investor. You will learn practical skills and strategies to make informed investment decisions tailored to your financial goals and risk tolerance.
We will cover:
- What investing is and why it is so critical to building wealth
- Exploring various asset classes from stocks and bonds to real estate and inflation-protected products
- Navigating investment funds including mutual funds, ETFs, index funds and target date funds
- Evaluating criteria for selecting financial advisors and institutions, considering fee structures and advisory services
- Finding the right financial institutions to suit your needs, breaking down the difference between banks, brokerages, money managers, registered investment advisors (RIA), robo advisors, and more
- How diversity can protect you and the different types
- Practical insights into opening and managing investment accounts, automating investments, and portfolio rebalancing
Prerequisites: No prior knowledge or experience in investing is required. This course is designed for learners of all ages and stages, leveling the playing field for anyone eager to embark on their investing journey.

Casey Halliley
Casey Halliley is an award-winning financial literacy educator. She spent the first twelve years of her career trading and selling currencies and structured credit products to hedge funds at Citigroup and Barclays Bank PLC. Following that, she oversaw risk management and compliance for an asset manager, Cove Capital Management. After discovering her passion for financial wellness, she started Wealthology in 2014, where she partnered up with numerous companies, non-profits, and universities to educate thousands of students and professionals in financial wellness. In 2020, Wealthology was acquired by Sqwire. Casey has spoken at the United Nations, SXSW, The Department of Defense’s Financial Readiness Symposium, and has appeared on and moderated many industry panels.
She is an adjunct professor at CUNY Baruch College in New York City, where she won the 2023 Zicklin School Teaching Award.

REFUND POLICY: Registered participants may cancel their registration and request a full refund up to 5 business days before the first day of their non-credit course.
