Criteria for Admission
Basic qualifications for EMBA candidacy include:
- At least 5-7 years of professional/managerial experience (generally this should be post-undergraduate experience)
- An undergraduate degree from an accredited university or foreign equivalent
- Appropriate quantitative skills (demonstrated by test scores or acquired through professional experience or academic training)
We recommend all interested candidates submit a pre-application before applying to receive feedback regarding their potential candidacy for an Executive Program. To submit a pre-application, send your current resume and unofficial academic transcript(s) to email@example.com and specify the program of interest (EMBA). The unofficial transcript helps us determine if you are eligible for a GMAT/GRE/Admissions Test waiver. You will receive a response from our office within 3-4 business days of submitting your pre-application.
Please note that the pre-application will only confirm whether you meet the basic prerequisites for candidacy, it is not an indication of an admission decision.
Attend an Information Session
Next, we recommend that you attend an information session to learn more about the program you are interested in. These sessions provide an overview of Zicklin Executive Programs, the program and curriculum, the application process, and the student experience. If you would like to sit in on a current class session, we can also arrange that for you after a pre-application has been processed.
Candidates generally move through the following steps during the application process:
- Submit an online application and all supporting application documents.
- Once application is complete, qualified candidates are invited to campus for an admissions interview (virtual interviews are available for candidates outside of NYC metro area).
- Decisions are typically given within 1-3 weeks of interview.
A complete application includes:
- $125 application fee
- Two professional recommendations
One should be from your current supervisor
- Academic transcripts
Unofficial transcripts can be uploaded into the online application; official transcripts will be required if admitted
- Complete essay questions
- Current resume
GMAT, GRE, or Admissions Test scores
Occasionally test scores can be waived for applicants to the Executive MBA program. Those that are required to submit test scores can be considered for our in-house Admission Test as an alternative to the GRE/GMAT. For feedback regarding test score requirements, please send your resume and unofficial transcripts to firstname.lastname@example.org for a pre-application review.
Proof of English language proficiency (if applicable)
TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE scores may be required for applicants whose native language is not English or who were educated in non-English speaking institutions. Test scores more than two years old are not acceptable. The TOEFL school code for the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, is 2034.
