Organizations around the world are struggling to develop the know-how to aggregate, analyze, and monetize the growing surge of available data. The demand for managers who can develop the mindset and skills needed to engage in data analytic thinking is vastly outpacing the current availability of workers in the U.S. and around the world.
This certificate would provide an opportunity for potential managers to:
- Develop data analytic thinking
- Improve the way they intelligently communicate data to other stakeholders
- Acquire essential skills needed to ethically conduct data analytics
- Position themselves to pursue a career path in data analytics.
The curriculum for the certificate program in Data Analytics is a subset of the graduate curricula in Information Systems and Business Analytics, thus potentially allowing the students the option to apply to and enroll in our master’s level programs.

Students must take and satisfactorily complete three graduate-level CIS courses in Data Analytics listed below. The Advanced Certificate in Data Analytics is awarded to students upon completion of these courses with a minimum grade point average of 2.7.* Requirements must be completed within three calendar years of enrollment in the Certificate program.
