The application to join the IB major in the spring 2026 semester will be open from December 29, 2025 to January 16, 2026.  Please contact the IB Major Coordinator for any questions. 

Because of the way it is trained, ChatGPT and other generative AI software are good at repeating basic knowledge and generating impersonal responses but cannot write a personal essay that speaks to your own unique goals, motivations and aspirations. Other than for basic proofreading purposes, students are warned that a AI-generated essay is unlikely to render a strong application.
