International Business Curriculum Development

The Weissman Center supports the development of undergraduate and graduate level curriculum in the area of international business.

The Weissman Center supports the development of undergraduate and graduate level curriculum in the area of international business. The Center works closely with professor Andreas Grein, who is the coordinator of the international business program in the Allen G. Aaronson Department of Marketing and International Business.

The Center worked closely with professor Clifford Wymbs in promoting and developing the undergraduate, interdisciplinary major in international business, both in the College and in the state approval process, and by participating in the design of the curriculum. The major offers the potential to enhance curriculum and research synergies among international faculty in the different functional disciplines in the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch.

As part of the major students are required to study abroad. The study abroad office is working closely with professor Grein and other faculty members as well as university partners around the world to ensure that the semester students spend overseas translates into credits in the major field of study. To do so, the Center is focused on curricular integration within the courses in the international business major. For more information, please visit the department of marketing and international business site.

The Center also offers the Mitsui USA International Business Professionals-in-Academia Initiative. This program is designed to encourage adjunct faculty who bring real world experience to the classroom to introduce new teaching materials and teaching techniques into the classroom.
