Important Notes:
- Iin order to navigate through the MS Financial Risk Management program smoothly, all prerequisite courses must be completed first.
- International students need to be registered for 9 credits in Fall and Spring to be considered full-time.
- Part-time students typically take 6 credits per semester.
- Preliminary courses are offered every Fall and Spring (with the exception of ECO 9740, which is sometimes offered in Fall only).
- Required courses (ECO 9723: Econometrics and FIN 9783: Investment Analysis) are offered every Fall and Spring.
- These courses serve as prerequisites for many of the advanced electives.
- Students should plan to complete BUS 9551: Business Communication I within their first two semesters.
- BUS 9551 is offered every Fall, Spring, and Summer.
- Elective Courses are typically offered once per year (either in Fall, Spring, or Summer).
- Only the department can grant permission to students to register for a course(s) without having the prerequisite.
