- If you have questions about your preliminary requirement waivers, or if you are seeking additional permissions for a course, then you should contact your faculty advisor, Professor Ann Brandwein. Only Professor Brandwein can grant permission for a course.
- Students should aim to complete BUS 9551 Business Communication I in their first two semesters.
- BUS 9551 is offered every fall, spring, and summer.
- Students who plan to take Calculus during their first semester please email ZicklingraduateAdvising@baruch.cuny.edu to request permission.

* MTH 3010 (Calculus II) will only be taken only by students who completed MTH 2610 at Baruch College. This information will be indicated on your evaluation.
Note that international students need to be registered for 9 credits in fall and spring to be considered full-time. Part-time students typically take 6 credits per semester.
- Calculus I* is waived based on completion of 3 credits of undergraduate calculus I [not pre-calculus], with a minimum grade of C-.
- Calculus II* is waived based on completion of calculus II [advanced calculus] completed within 5 years of enrollment in the MS Statistics program, with a minimum grade of C-.
- STA 9708 is waived based on completion of 6 credits of undergraduate statistics, with a minimum grade average of B-.
*Calculus I and Calculus II are undergraduate courses and the grades are not calculated in the grade point average [GPA].
Calculus is a very important part of STA 9715 and STA 9719. Even if you are waived from both Calculus I and Calculus II, it is imperative that you review and know your calculus well before attending these classes. Students who have taken Calculus I & II more than five years ago may want to consider repeating Calculus II.
If you choose to take Calculus I and Calculus II, note that they are undergraduate courses and the grades are not calculated in the grade point average [GPA].
