Graduate Assistantship

The Office of Graduate Programs is now accepting applications for Graduate Teaching Assistant positions for the Fall 2025 semester.  

First semester students are not eligible to apply.

Graduate Teaching Assistantships are not guaranteed for future semesters.

➤ Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Assisting faculty with the following:
    • Administering synchronous online or in-person class sessions (monitoring chats, answering questions, etc.)
    • Monitoring online discussion boards and responding to student emails.
    • Preparing, administering, and proctoring exams and other assignments.
    • Grading discussion boards, assignments, quizzes, and exams.

 

  • Assisting students with the following:
    • Navigating online textbook auxiliary sites and materials.
    • Navigating online exams and assignments.

 

  • Liaising with BCTC to assist with resolving tech issues for students and faculty.
➤ Compensation:

Graduate Teaching Assistants will be hired for up to 80 hours and will be paid $20 per hour.

➤ Criteria:

  1. Currently enrolled in a Zicklin School of Business master’s level program.
    • Executive Programs students are not eligible for these positions.
  2. Have and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • Students in their first semester are not eligible.
  3. International students must fulfill the appropriate VISA requirements in order to work in the United States.
  4. A Social Security Number is required for payroll compensation.
    • If you receive an offer and don’t have a Social Security number, promptly work with the College administrative offices to obtain one to ensure timely payroll compensation before your semester assignment ends.
  5. Students who are not enrolled full-time (less than 9 credits) must coordinate with Human Resources for fingerprinting and pay a one-time fee of $88.50 as part of New Hire Procedures.
