The Change in Degree Objective process is only for students who are currently enrolled in a Zicklin graduate degree program.  Changes in degree objectives are not automatic, as each degree program has its own admissions criteria.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Students may only apply for a change in degree objective once. 
  • Students should research the new program and be able to clearly articulate why they would like to apply for the change.
• Students applying for a Change in Degree Objective must meet the admissions criteria for the new program.
• Students may be required to take or re-take the GMAT and achieve an admissible score in order to be considered for admission to a new program.
• Students who were admitted to an MS program through the Baruch Undergraduate Path to MS will need to meet the waiver criteria of the new MS program, if applicable. 
• Preliminary course waivers that were applied to the original degree program may not meet the waiver criteria of the new program.
• Courses that were completed under the original degree program may not necessarily count towards the new program.
• Note that the MS in Real Estate admits students in fall only.
• Students who change from an MS degree into an MBA degree will be responsible for paying the tuition differential for previously completed courses.
• There are no waivers in the MBA program.
• Students who wish to enter the Online MBA, the Online MS in Business Analytics, or the Online MS in Marketing must apply for admission as a new applicant through the Office of Graduate Admissions.
  • We are currently not accepting applicants who already started other graduate programs at Zicklin. 
• Students who wish to enter the Full-Time MBA must apply for admission as a new applicant through the Office of Graduate Admissions.
  • The Full-Time MBA is a cohort program that admits students only in the Fall and the coursework must be completed as prescribed, including taking all of the MBA required courses with the cohort.

1. Have a PDF of your Baruch transcript ready to upload.
2. Be prepared to write a short statement explaining your request to change.
3. Take note of your current GPA and credits earned.

5. An advisor will reach out to you if additional information or discussion is required.

International F1 visa holders: If your application is approved you will be required to meet with an advisor in the International Student Service Center to verify whether additional financial documentation is needed.

Deadlines:

Requests for changes in degree objectives will only be accepted and reviewed during the following time periods. Note the application system will close at 5pm on the last day.

• September 15 – October 15: Change effective for Spring semester  
• February 15 – March 15: Change effective for Fall semester
• June 15 – July 1: Change effective for Fall semester
