- This process is only for students who are currently enrolled in a Zicklin graduate degree program.
- Changes in degree objectives are not automatic, as each degree program has its own admissions criteria.
- The MS in AI & Business Analytics program—formerly the MS in Business Analytics—is being relaunched in Fall 2026 with an updated curriculum.
- Applications to change degree objective into the MS in AI & Business Analytics program will be suspended as the Zicklin School prepares to launch the updated curriculum.
- CDO requests will reopen in a future semester once the new curriculum is fully implemented and additional guidance is available.
➤ Important Information:
- Students may only apply for a change in degree objective once.
- Students should research the new program and be able to clearly articulate reasons for the change.
- Students must meet the admissions criteria for the new program.
- Students may be required to take/re-take the GMAT and achieve an admissible score in order to be considered for admission to a new program.
- Students who were admitted to an MS program through the Baruch Undergraduate Path to MS will need to meet the waiver criteria of the new MS program, if applicable.
- Preliminary course waivers that were applied to the original degree program may not transfer to the new program.
- Completed courses under the original degree program may not necessarily count towards the new program.
- Note: MS Real Estate admits students in Fall only.
- Students who change from an MS to an MBA degree will be responsible for paying the tuition differential for previously completed courses.
- There are no waivers in the MBA program.
- Eligibility to Change into an Online Program:
-
Students who wish to discuss changing into the Online MBA, Online MS Business Analytics, Online MS Marketing, or Online MS Finance should email zsbchangedegree@baruch.cuny.edu.
Please review the eligibility requirements below:
- Students with 9 earned credits or less in their current degree program may request to change into an online program.
- Students changing from an in‑person program to a different online degree program may still be eligible, even with more than 9 completed credits, if no more than 6 of those credits would count toward the online program.
- Preliminary courses do not count toward the 9 earned credit limit used to determine eligibility.
- Students with 9 or more earned credits are not eligible to request a change into an online program when the in-person and online programs are the same degree (for example, Evening/Part-time MBA to Online MBA).
- Students who are in progress with more than 9 credits of non‑preliminary coursework toward the in-person program are not eligible to change into the corresponding online version of that program, even if those credits are not yet completed.
- Students in the in-person MS Finance program who wish to change to the Online MS Finance program may not have more than 6 credits earned or in progress at the time of the request.
- Students with 9 earned credits or less in their current degree program may request to change into an online program.
