MS in Marketing – Advising Information for New Students

Welcome new MS in Marketing students! 

MS students will receive an email from the advising team with more specific information related to your program requirements.  New students should note that evaluations will be sent to the same email address that you used to apply to your degree program.

Students can register for classes before receiving their program evaluation.

Course Selection

  • Students should complete MKT 9703 Marketing Management in your first semester. Many Marketing (MKT) courses can be taken with MKT 9703 as a corequisite.  
  • Students can take elective courses in the first semester.
Waiver Criteria for Preliminary Statistics Course 

STA 9708 Managerial Statistics is the prerequisite for MKT 9702 Marketing Research, some advanced Marketing electives, and for any statistics electives that are listed under your degree requirements. 

  • STA 9708 can be waived if you completed 6 credits of undergraduate statistics with a minimum grade of B-.
