Can the Market Fix the Market? Purpose Driven Movements in Latin America
April 15 at 12:00 pm - 2:15 pm EDT
B Corporations are nonprofit organizations that developed in the United States and Canada in 2006 with the goal of redefining the meaning of success in business: to solve social and environmental problems through products and services, thus using business as a force for good.
Join us as we welcome Maria Emilia Correa, a founder of Sistema B in Latin America. Maria will discuss Sistema B and B corporations as well as the purpose-driven movements taking place in Latin America. Sistema B’s proposal points to an economy that can create value for our civilization and our planet by promoting forms of economic organization that can be measured by the simultaneous well-being of people, societies and the Earth and with short and long-term considerations.
