Navigating Controversial Employee Speech: Legal Rights and Best Practices for Employers

November 7, 2023 at 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EST

About the Program

In today’s dynamic and diverse workplace, managing controversial employee speech has become a pressing concern for employers. Case in point, the recent decision by the law firm Winston and Strawn to withdraw its offer of employment to an NYU law student who made inflammatory comments aimed at Israel.

This program explores the complex issues surrounding this topic, focusing on the legal rights of employers when employee speech impacts the workplace and exploring best practices. We welcome Baruch College Law Professor, Debbie Kaminer, and GreenbergTraurig Shareholder, Shira R. Yoshor, to share their expertise.
