Arthur Troast is a full-time lecturer in the Zicklin School of Business/Baruch College’s Stan Ross Department of Accountancy as of August 2022. For 30 years he was a part-time lecturer at the school. He teaches accounting and audit classes at the undergraduate and graduate level including: Introduction to Financial Accounting, Advanced Accounting, and Introduction to Auditing. Arthur has also taught the audit section of a Baruch College sponsored CPA review.

Before joining Zicklin full-time in 2022, for over 30 years, Arthur conducted his own professional practice offering accounting, tax and consulting services. He offered specialized services for creative agencies and companies requiring inventory control and project management. He has worked with companies in many other industries. Arthur has systems expertise and has used technology to offer accounting and financial control solutions to businesses. He has been a valued advisor to Company management on topics including pension planning, budgeting, hiring, and Company: valuations, purchases and sales.

Prior to starting his own practice in 1992, Arthur was an Audit Manager for Deloitte & Touche, in New York City, where he performed audits of various companies in many industries.

Arthur has been a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in New York State, since 1985 and also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The New York State Society of CPAs. Arthur has a BS/BA, from Bucknell University. He has held various board and trustee positions for organizations including a Coop, a Construction Company and various investment trusts.
