Ivan Montiel is a Professor of Business Sustainability at the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, the City University of New York. He investigates how businesses can contribute to solving social and environmental grand challenges such as climate change and public health deficiencies. He is particularly interested in the role of businesses in addressing such challenges in Latin America. He also examines how businesses can contribute to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. His research has appeared in the Journal of International Business StudiesStrategic Management JournalJournal of Economics and Management Strategy, Journal of Policy Analysis & Management, Academy of Management Learning & Education, Journal of Business Ethics, Organization & Environment, and Business & Society, among others. He acts as Associate Editor for Business & Society and serves on the Editorial Review Boards of Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Ethics, and Journal of World Business.
