About
Mingcherng Deng is an associate professor of accountancy at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business. He received his PhD in accounting from Columbia Business School. Professor Deng taught at Columbia University and the University of Minnesota before moving to Baruch College in 2012. His teaching interests include financial reporting and the analysis of financial information.
Professor Deng’s research interests include studying the economic effects of firms’ accounting disclosures and how legal requirements, such as mandatory audits, affect the quality of those disclosures. He is also interested in analyzing how accounting disclosures and practices may impact supply chain management.
