Prior to joining the Baruch faculty in 2013, Tom served as Chief Auditor and Director of Professional Standards at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), where he oversaw the development of Auditing Standard No. 5 and numerous other PCAOB standards and rules. Tom also has held senior positions in KPMG LLP’s national professional practice office and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and was a member of Advisory Council of the Committee of Sponsoring Organization of the Treadway Commission for its 2013 update to Internal Control: Integrated Framework. Tom is a certified public accountant in New York and Texas, and began his accounting career with Grant Thornton LLP.
